In life it is important to do things that you are passionate about. It enhances your work and ensures that you enjoy what you do.
For me, photography has always been an important part of my life. I began when I was a teenager photographing air shows in order to pay for film but it wasn’t until fifteen years ago that I began to get serious. It began with several art photo projects. I had some ideas but I lacked the technical proficiency to execute. So I picked up some lighting equipment, upgraded to a newer film SLR and began experimenting.
At this same time I was lucky enough to be employed with a company where several well known photographers worked, giving me access to their knowledge and equipment. I was not only able to experiment with lighting here but I also was able to use large/medium format cameras, digital backs, color management software/rips and large format printing. I finally began to feel comfortable as a photographer so I began shooting weddings and other events.
I am very passionate about what I do. I love travel photography and I absolutely have a blast working weddings, event or portrait sessions. While I still have not started those art projects that brought me here, I absolutely love what I do.
